Mind Nutrition – Feeding Your Brain the Right Food

The mind is one of the most vital organs in the human biological system that assists us in facilitating our daily activities. The absence of mind power would make us unable to perform our physical functions. However, the human brain is subject to deterioration if not properly taken care of and this is more likely to result in memory loss and other memory-related issues. In order to prevent this from happening and to keep the brain vibrant, it is important emphasize mind nutrition.

Many researchers have shown that the food you put on your plate plays a significant role in the increase and decrease of your intelligence as well as its overall facets including concentration, attention span, emotional response, problem solving and mood. Aside from the four G’s other forms of brain herbs include rosemary which is considered as the plant of memory, sage which is helpful in curing failing memory, and passion flower that is capable of reducing anxiety and soothing moods.

Fish is another memory food that improves brain condition. Fish contains the right amount of choline and omega-3 acids that helps the brain to properly carry out its activities. Choline which is a form of B-vitamin is known to have positive effects on the center of human brain memory called hippocampus. Omega-3 fatty acids on the other hand, which are usually extracted from fish oil, aids in the formation of nerve cell membranes in the brain and also increases membrane fluidity, which in turn helps in the improvement of moods as well as mental behavior.

Food is an essential element that could be treated as the major recipe to achieve good body and brain health. Hence, if you wish to maximize your potential, it is therefore imperative that you provide your brain with the right mind nutrition. Remember, if your brain is satisfied it becomes your wealth as it is only then that could function properly to help you perform all your physical activities.
